Established Inn, Bar & Restaurant
Dining at The Taversoe with your dog/s
We try to have as few rules as possible for our guests and their canine companions,
but in order to respect the sensitivities of our other visitors we do make the following requests:
Please keep your dog leashed at all times on the premises, including external areas.
Dogs are not allowed in the dining room.
We can set a table in the bar area for you to sit and eat your meal with your pet.
If it's a nice day there is seating on our patio overlooking the Eynhallow sound.
Please ensure that you “scoop".
Please be respectful of other guests. Not everyone likes dogs.
Keep your dog under your control and don't let them approach others without an invitation.
Dogs that are deemed to be a nuisance or danger to other guests must be removed from the premises immediately.
We reserve the right to make this decision at any time.
Please be aware we have three dogs and one cat resident at The Taversoe.
Ernest (a young Spanish GalgoX) came to The Taversoe in mid-February, and Fry (a Spanish Galgo) arrived mid-September. Both are still finding their feet as a pub dogs, and can be a little nervous.
Miska (a two year old Newfoundland) does not "live" here, but she belongs to my mother and is at The Taversoe most days.
The dogs are behind the bar in the private owner accommodation so should not be loose on the premises.
Should you wish to bring your dog/s into the premises please let us know before you enter; we can then ensure our dogs are not in the bar area. All three are dog friendly, but they can be boisterous and intimidating toward new arrivals.
Ernest and Miska are friendly (though can be quite barky), we will happily let them out for cuddles and photo opportunities.
Ember (ginger cat) may be in the gardens or carpark at the premises. Please do not allow your dog/s to chase her.
If you know your dog will chase cats please be extra vigilant.
